African Lily Art on Canvas in a Bijou Frame.

African Lily are hardy perennials available in blue, white and pink shades. The plants' cultivation boomed after early explorers brought this flower to Europe from their native homeland of Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. Since then, the species has propagated throughout areas around the globe, serving as highly-beloved ornamental flowers because of their striking spherical flowering heads that typically come out at a time when other plants have already withered away or gone dormant for winter months (due to soil conditions).

Unlike the more common Agapant it is not generally suitable as a garden plant, and will not tolerate extended freezing temperatures. So this artwork is one way to enjoy this flower outside of Africa.
